I hope you were able to make it to the State Section Meeting this past week.  We are already looking ahead to our Branch Meeting in April.  Meeting information is below and attached as part of the Newsletter.

Also, if you are or represent a dam owner, please take note of this year’s workshop (attachment).  This is a workshop geared specifically to dam owners.  The program information will be available soon.

Location:                     Radisson Indianapolis Airport, 2500 S. High School Road, Indianapolis, IN  (Please Note Different Location than Previous Years)

Menu:                            Speedway Buffet:  Mixed Field Greens Salad with Assorted Toppings and Dressings, Grilled Chicken with Lemon Chardonnay Sauce, Sliced Roast Beef with Sage Infused Zinfandel, Rice or Pasta, Market Fresh Vegetables, Warm Rolls with Butter, Variety of Gourmet Cakes and Pies, Freshly Brewed Coffee and Iced Tea.

Special note:  As mentioned at the February 26^th Branch Meeting, the MIB Board of Directors, out of concern for meetings operating at a financial loss at the rates we had been charging, have decided to increase our meeting rates for the first time in many years.  This will allow us to continue to offer member benefits, scholarships, etc. to MIB members, while keeping our budget balanced.  We appreciate your understanding.  Please feel free to contact any MIB Board Member if you have questions or comments to make in this matter.

       Reservations:             Reservations will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis.

Deadline for reservations is 5:00 pm on April 18th (Thursday).

ASCE-MIB February Meeting, slides from presentation.  Slides relate to proposed legislation at the Indiana General Assembly affecting Civil Engineers.

Time continues to fly in this new year.  Our February meeting is just around the corner – Feb 26^th.  Information about the meeting and other activities by the Younger Members Group, EWRI, and the Geotech Group are included in the attached Newsletter.

In addition, I have attached an ITE meeting announcement and a Call for Presentations for a workshop at Purdue that is of interest to the Geotech and Environmental disciplines.

Good Afternoon.  Your ASCE board is gearing up for another year of events and activities.  Our January meeting (Jan 29^th) includes a presentation by Ms. Anna Tyszkiewicz, Executive Director for the Indianapolis MPO.  Additional information for the January meeting is included in the attached Newsletter. 

We also direct your attention to the attached 2013 Terrell Paper Competition and the NAWIC seminar.  Note that the NAWIC seminar is next week.
