ASCE - Indians Game Registration, more...                            e-mail sent:  12:07 PM Monday 9th June 2014

Dear ASCE-MIB & Central Branch Members – As some of you know, our summer schedule has traditionally included the Indians Game and the Golf Outing, and we are continuing that tradition.  The Indians Game is in July this year, and the Golf Outing will be in August.  There will not be a June meeting.  < June 2014 Newsletter >

The Indians Game is July 21st.  This is a pre-paid event, and registration is due on July 1st.  So, please make sure you fill out the attached registration form and return it to Jason by then.  (Jason’s contact information is on the form.)  The cost of the tickets is substantially offset by our sponsors so that the cost to you to bring your whole family is kept relatively low.  If you would like to sponsor this event, please contact Jason.  Your sponsorship will be recognized at the game.

Other attachments include:

An employment opportunity at Banning Engineering;

2014 Dams Owners Workshop (need to register soon – workshop is on June 17th); and

A save-the-date for the 2015 Structures Congress.

See you at the game.

Mike

May 16th DAY AT THE TRACK - Indianapolis Motor Speedway    e-mail sent:  7:28 AM Thursday 17th April 2014

Good Morning.  It’s almost May again, and you know what that means in Indianapolis.  ASCE, ISPE, ITE, ISPLS, SWE, and ACEC Indiana are again meeting together at the track on May 16th (Fast Friday).  We are still determining the cost of the track and garage passes for this year’s Day at the Track event.  But, since this is a pre-pay event and if you are not going to request a track and/or garage pass, please do go ahead and register.  Refer to the attachment.  If you want a track and/or garage pass, we will be sending an updated registration form as soon as the prices are determined.

Also, we will again be holding a silent auction to benefit the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation, and the auction will be active before and after lunch.  Some of the items in the auction will include an HP ElitePad and race team shirt with Sam, Simon Pagenaud and Tristan Vautier signatures and other racing memorabilia (see attached). (Have your cash or checkbook in hand and be ready to bid to support a worthy organization!).
